We are the ONLY official center for Krav Maga Worldwide located on the Central Coast - Krav Maga is an intense, self-defense program emphasizing diverse hand-to-hand combat techniques and considered by experts to be the most devastating and effective self-defense system in the world. Incorporating life-like training weapons and real life- threatening scenarios, you will learn the techniques developed by the Israel street-fighter Imi Lichtenfeld and used to ward off attackers even in the most serious of real life-threatening situations.
The Budo Ryu is also a full-scale traditional Muay Thai (kickboxing) facility fully-equipped with Thai-style 'banana' heavy bags, tear-drop bags, boxing speed bags, and tatami/puzzle-mat/wrestling-mat flooring and instruction that guides you through various punch, kick, knee, elbow and self-defense techniques and combinations essential to the art of Muay Thai. Our 2,800 square foot indoor facility also offers classes in Sleeping Tiger Fitness Cardio & Strength Training Intervals & Kettlebell Conditioning, AOB Boxing (Traditional Western Boxing), Contortion Jiu-Jitsu, Shotokan Karate, and cardio kickboxing bag classes. The Budo Ryu has a beaming reputation in the martial arts community for producing some of the finest, most physically fit and mentally astute competitors, practitioners, and athletes in the field.
All of our instructors and staff members are "ring-tested" and have fight-competition experience and/or real-life application experience in the system and art they are teaching. Owner/Kru Eric Sandahl is a professionally sponsored fighter having trained and competed extensively in Thailand, and at the Krav Maga Worldwide training facilities.
